南韓MERS-CoV疫情大爆發，今（9）天再增加8例確診病例，病例總人數已達到95例，雖比昨天公布單日新增23例稍緩，但已成為全球感染人數第二嚴重的國家，僅次於沙烏地阿拉伯。在民進黨立委趙天麟臨時提案要求下，衛福部疾管署正研議比照登革熱，發給自主通報確診的MERS病人、每人2500元的獎勵金。
根據外電報導，南韓今天累計病例已經達到95例，並新增1人死亡，死亡人數累計來到7例，成為MERS-CoV疫情2012年在中東爆發以來，全球感染人數第二嚴重的國家，超越阿拉伯聯合大公國的62例，僅次於沙烏地阿拉伯的514例。
南韓MERS疫情大爆發，各界憂心病毒入侵台灣風險，趙天麟昨在立法院臨時提案要求疾管署比照登革熱，把MERS也納入傳染病自主通報確診的獎勵金制度，衛福部表示同意。
疾管署表示，國內並非所有傳染病都有通報獎金，但會評估納入MERS，針對自主通報並確診的病人，同樣發放2500元的獎金，訂定後會儘快公告實施；疾管署統計，2012年以來，國內迄今通報MERS疑似個案共有40例，但全數排除。
